State-funded programs cover most of the cost!

Wisconsin, Texas, and Florida residents may fund their purchase of TippyTalk through state programs. These programs help people acquire specialized equipment they need to use basic communication services.


Residents of other states and countries may also be eligible for state programs or be able to purchase TippyTalk directly.  Contact us for more information. 

TippyTalk enables nonverbal and speech-impaired users to communicate with the world with an iPad.

  • Florida residents three years old through graduation from 12th grade or age 22 (whichever comes first)
  • enrolled in an eligible Florida private school or home education program
  • have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech Impairment or Language Impairment

The Wisconsin Telecommunications Equipment Purchase Program (TEPP) helps people with disabilities acquire specialized equipment they need in order to use basic communication services.

To Qualify

  • You must have or know a loved one with a speech impairment
  • The future TippyTalker must be a resident of Wisconsin
  • You must provide a letter from a certified educator, SLP, or medical professional confirming the speech impairment and belief that TippyTalk will benefit the recipient.

It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to start your application with TippyTalk. We will gather needed information, fill out your application, and submit it to the Wisconsin TEPP Program. 

The Cost

Wisconsin requires a $100 fee. The rest of the cost of TippyTalk and the iPad are covered by the Wisconsin TEPP Program.

After submitting the application, it typically takes 3-4 weeks for the voucher to be issued. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received.

The TippyTalk Manager will set up the iPad for the TippyTalker. Then the Manager will download a free app to personalize TippyTalker. Just invite Community Members, and communication begins!

The Texas Specialized Telecommunications Assistance Program (STAP) helps people with disabilities acquire specialized equipment they need in order to use basic communication services.

  • You must have or know a loved one with a speech impairment
  • The future TippyTalker must be a resident of Texas 5 years or older.
  • Part of the application must be filled out by a certified SLP confirming the speech impairment and belief that TippyTalk will benefit the recipient.

Institutions Purchasing TippyTalk

Purchase TippyTalk for multiple TippyTalkers!

Institutions (schools, clinics, and therapy centers), please contact us for information about purchasing TippyTalk.


Institutions may purchase TippyTalk licensing to provide TippyTalk to non-verbal and speech-impaired users. These TippyTalkers, their Managers, and their TippyTalk Communities will then be able to use the apps at no cost. 

TippyTalk institutional sales enable schools and clinics to provide families with TippyTalk.
